Desktop Chrome. By default there is nothing to download beyond the extension, and the drafts come from Viewfy, so an old laptop is fine. Mini Max and Pro can switch the extension to on-device mode. That needs desktop Google Chrome 138 or newer and a one-time model download of about 4 GB.

He reads the thread you are in when you focus the box, in your browser. By default he sends it to Viewfy only when you click him for a draft. In on-device mode, on Mini Max and Pro, nothing you write or read leaves the browser. He never watches what you type or where else you browse.

A switch in the extension for Mini Max and Pro. Gemini Nano, the model built into Chrome, writes the draft on your machine from his brief and the thread you are in. Nothing about the thread or the draft is sent to Viewfy, and those drafts do not count against your daily allowance. You turn it on per browser. It needs desktop Google Chrome 138 or newer and a one-time model download of about 4 GB. Switch it off and drafts come from Viewfy again. The on-device code is open source.
