Generate llms.txt

Paste a URL. We write a /llms.txt from your homepage, the short file Cursor and some LLM clients read. No account, no email.

What is llms.txt?

A short markdown file at /llms.txt that tells LLM clients what the site is and which pages matter. Cursor and a few other tools read it. It is not a ranking signal.

Will this get ChatGPT to name me?

No. A study across 300,000 domains found no measurable citation lift, and Google has said it does not use the file. We still generate one because it is free and some developer tools do read it.

Where do I put the file?

At the site root, so it resolves at https://yoursite.com/llms.txt. The official name is llms.txt, with an s. Serve it as plain text, keep it at the root rather than in a folder, and do not put it behind a redirect or a login. Rewrite it when your main pages change.
